“Cafe Independants Cafe Independants”, a purveyor to artists in the 1928 Building, a tangible cultural property

It is located on the corner of Sanjo-dori and Gokodori, about a 4-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station.

The landmark building "1928 Building" around here.

Originally it was the building of the Mainichi Newspapers, but now it has a theater and a gallery.

An artistic atmosphere. The appearance is cool with a retro atmosphere in the early Showa period.

The cafe "Cafe Independants" is located on the first basement floor of this building.

It seems that the artists turned the first basement floor, which was almost a ruin, into a cafe.

It's a cool cafe with an irresistible underground atmosphere.

This is the entrance down the basement. A perfect hideaway.

inside of shop. Anyway, it's comfortable. The customer service is basically neglected. This is good again.

"We don't serve customers very much, so feel free to do whatever you want."

Customer service just to say.

It's good that the table is big and the distance between you and your neighbors is wide.

Music plays moderately in the store, and conversations can be lively with 4 or 5 people.

It's also good to read a book alone.

The first basement floor was originally a shower room for newspaper reporters.

If you ask me, that kind of atmosphere. Currently, there is no such thing as strong humidity and it is comfortable.

Basic pasta lunch. The taste is awesome. The amount is a little small.

Well, it's the best cafe when you want to relax a little more than meals.

Even so, I don't understand how to read French.

By all means, don't read "Cafe Independents".
