Kyoto’s most spectacular view, night view! Kamo River, “in the moon” rooftop bar overlooking the “Yuka”
in the moon” is one of the most stylish bars in Kyoto.
The location is just wonderful!
The Kamo River, Shijo Ohashi Bridge, and the elegant Kyoto cityscape on the other side of the river can be seen from the rooftop bar on the top floor of the building, just a minute walk from Gion Shijo.
It is truly a different world, full of VIP atmosphere. The feeling of openness, as if you were at a resort, is irresistible.
Moreover, it is still a secluded spot! You may see it on Instagram or in fashionable magazines from time to time, but it has yet to appear in Kyoto’s tourist guide books.
What is it? Is it that the restaurant is choosing it?
There are only four reviews on the food log. I like the hole-in-the-wall feeling.
The roof top is nice. I mean, it’s nice to look up and see the sky, and the sky is nice when you look to the side.
And it’s so funny lol. Because the name is already “in the moon”.
It’s romantic in a flirtatious way.
The atmosphere is like a bar on top of a hotel in some Asian city.
But when you look down, you can see a traditional Kyoto townhouse, the Minami-za Theater, and the Kamo River, and you are right in the middle of Kyoto.
I like this gap.
Looking down Shijo Street. The retro Taisho era building, Toka Saikan, is also cool.
Since it faces west, this looks like a good time for sunset.
One floor below, on the 9th floor, “in the soup” is also quite stylish.
The night view is beautiful from there as well. It serves steaks and stews, and is also a bistro-like restaurant.
It is also nice to see the rooftop beer garden below.
The lights of the “Yuka (floor)” overhanging the Kamo River are reflected in the river.
The “Gozan-no-Okuribi” (Bonfire on Gozan), a summer tradition in Kyoto, can be seen from here.
In fact, the “Yuka” is a typical summer scene in Kyoto, but it is quite hot.
It is not recommended to go there, though, as the light attracts small insects on some days,
But here, it is too high up to attract feather insects.
And the rooftop bar is cool! Thank goodness.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is already a new landmark in Kyoto.
It is sure to be Instagram-worthy.
Mojito is the best drink.
Other drinks include mimosas, Kir Royale, Bellinis, and sangria.
Ah, it fits the atmosphere.
How about ending your last night of sightseeing in Kyoto with a panoramic view of the city?
